About Alpha Tau Omega – Virginia Tech

The Alpha Tau Omega Theta Delta Colony at Virginia Tech was founded on October 18th, 2013. The goal of the chapter was to change the way fraternity life was run at Virginia Tech, while encouraging men to better themselves through brotherhood and leadership.

After a very successful first year, the ATO Theta Delta Colony received its charter from ATO National Headquarters on October 18th, 2014, exactly a year from its colonization date.

In February 2014, ATO partnered up with Phi Sigma Kappa at Virginia Tech to host their first philanthropic event(s). Step Up for Special Olympics was a great success, generating $6,000 for Special Olympics of Southwest Virginia.

On September 21st, 2014, ATO began a partnership with Cycling4aCure in order to raise awareness and money for cancer research through Cindy’s Hope Chest. Together with Cycling4aCure, ATO has begun to take the necessary steps to make this partnership as effective as possible and hopes that it will have a long and successful collaboration with Cycling4aCure.
